In The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Dunland Trap, some of Middle-earth's greatest heroes aid Saruman the White to continue the work that he began in The Voice of Isengard deluxe expansion. As they seek to win a rare victory for the forces of good and their struggle against the Shadow of Mordor, the heroes must face new perils, including the threat posed by angry bands of militant Dunlendings!

The Dunland Trap features a combat-heavy new scenario in which your heroes must battle their way to freedom against waves of ferocious Dunlendings. Additionally, among its sixty cards, you'll find a new Silvan hero and three copies of each player card, many of which introduce greater shape and surprises to the Silvan trait. Moreover, as it begins "The Ring-maker" cycle, The Dunland Trap also provides more support for the Mount trait, as well as the Time X and Doomed X mechanisms featured in The Voice of Isengard, and players will also discover thematic ties to Saruman and the White Council.

Beneath the Sands is the third Adventure Pack in the Haradrim cycle for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.

There's more than Haradrim to fear among the lands of Harad. There are the jungles and the beasts that lair within them. In Beneath the Sands, several of Middle-earth's greatest heroes continue their perilous journey through the hostile lands of Harad, only to find evidence of giant spiders that have dragged people under the dunes. Compelled to investigate, your heroes must crawl into the spider's tunnels, only to navigate a scenario that weaves through a labyrinth of cobweb-choked darkness, blocked passages, and deadly spiders. Time is of the essence, as the spiders' victims may yet be alive, but you'll need to be clever and attentive lest you become lost underground.

With scenario-specific rules that allow you to squander your progress when you get off-track, even if you quest successfully, Beneath the Sands places an emphasis upon the game's questing and exploration in a way that truly allows you to feel trapped in a maze. Fortunately, the Adventure Pack also comes with a new Scout hero and twenty-seven player cards (three copies each of nine different cards) to help you get back onto the proper path—or forge your own.

Your Fellowship of heroes have narrowly escaped from their ordeal in Dol Guldur. After a brief stay in Lórien, your party is on its way back to Thranduil when they see smoke billowing up from the eaves of Mirkwood. The black plumes lead you to the smoldering remains of a Woodman village, with bodies strewn about and black-feathered arrows sticking from their backs. This is clearly the work of Goblins, and the pained gasps of a dying Woodman tells you that the survivors were taken by the fiends to their lair within the forest. You swear an oath to rescue them if you can, or avenge them if you cannot, and so you draw your weapons and follow the trail into the woods.

This standalone scenario pack contains two adventures: The Oath and The Caves of Nibin-dûm. These scenarios were originally released as part of the Limited Collector’s Edition for The Lord of the Rings LCG. Now, with the inclusion of new boon and burden cards and the onset of the Revised Core Set, you and your fellow heroes can take on these two challenging scenarios as their own two-part adventure or as an extension of the core set’s Mirkwood Paths campaign.
